The School of Clinical Medicine at NCUST is one of the faculties with the longest history in our school. The faculty is strong and the conditions are excellent. There are 257 faculty members, including 59 doctors and 253 senior titles. In this subject group, there is 1 nationally outstanding teacher, 1 provincial outstanding teacher, 7 people enjoying special grants from the national council, 2 provincial experts, and 5 provincial outstanding experts.
The College has four undergraduate programs in clinical medicine, medical imaging, anesthesiology, and medical laboratory technology. Of these, Clinical Medicine is the first level discipline allowed for the Master’s degree and also has a Clinical Professional Master’s qualification.
College Surgery is a core discipline of the Provincial Department of Education and Internal Medicine is a core development discipline of the Provincial Department of Education. Respiratory medicine, orthopaedics, anesthesiology, and geriatrics are the province’s main clinical specialty construction departments, and neurosurgery, urology, pathology, hematology, general surgery, and medical imaging is the province’s main clinical specialty cultivation departments. As of 2016, our school’s clinical medicine discipline is ranked among the top 1% of ESI in the world.
The college is a standardized training base for national residents, a training base for mine rescue centres of the National Work Safety Administration, a training base for family doctors in Hebei Province, a training base for graduates of clinical medicine degrees in Hebei Province, and a key laboratory construction unit in Hebei Province. The college’s comprehensive clinical skills training centre is a national-level training base for college students’ out-of-school practice, and the first medical staff station in Tangshan City is also located in our school. The college has more than 2,000 undergraduate and more than 300 postgraduate students.
